DRD Gives Back: Juju Power
In the summer of 2019, Juliana Greenfield passed away from a form of cancer called Neuroblastoma. She was only five years old. Dana Rebecca Designs has the honor of partnering with Maggie Dorman, Juliana’s cousin, on a project to support the Juliana Greenfield Family Foundation. The foundation raises funds for Neuroblastoma research and supports families of children undergoing pediatric cancer treatment. Below, Maggie shares what this project means to her and her family.
"Hi! My name is Maggie Dorman. I am so honored to be working with Dana Rebecca Designs on this special project that is very close to my heart. Together, Dana, Noah, and I have been designing the most perfect, beautiful butterfly necklaces and earrings to honor my cousin, Juliana Sloane Greenfield. Juliana was a spunky, blue-eyed, joyful, silly, outgoing, loving little girl who always had a smile on her face. She loved to play with slime, dance, ride her scooter, go to school, play with friends and family, and she was always up to play card games (Old Maid and Uno were some of her favorites). On June 22nd, 2019, after 15 months of an exhausting fight, Juliana lost her battle to a type of cancer called Neuroblastoma. She was only five years old. I miss her every day!"
Two weeks before Juliana passed away, my family had the honor of attending her Preschool graduation. She had painted the most beautiful butterfly. Since her passing, butterflies have become a continuous reminder that my cousin is always with me. When I see a beautiful butterfly, it puts a tear in my eye and a smile on my face."
