About Dana Rebecca

Hi! My name is Dana (Rebecca) Gordon, and I am a third-generation jeweler. People like to joke I was born with diamonds in my DNA. I was raised in the industry, often spending hours behind the scenes at my father's factory. During the summer of my sixteenth birthday, I travelled to India with my father and returned home with my first collection. To my shock and delight, it sold out in 48 hours. Each summer thereafter, I continued designing and selling my pieces. Soon, my hobby began to turn into a passion. ‌

Truthfully, I did not initially set out to follow in my family's footsteps but had my eyes set on law school. I attended the University of Texas in Austin and studied corporate communication and business, all while continuing to design jewelry. By the time I graduated, I was faced with an important choice: to continue with jewelry, my passion, or pursue law school as I had originally planned. In 2007, after graduating from the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, California, I founded Dana Rebecca Designs. ‌

Wanting to create an accessible luxury fine jewelry brand, I built my business on this simple yet important idea: your jewelry should make you feel as comfortable as your favorite t-shirt and as amazing as your little black dress. I strive to create luxurious, everyday pieces women are excited to buy for themselves and gift to their loved ones. Dana Rebecca pieces are designed to become the cherished keepsakes women wear to capture all of life's memories - from major milestones to everyday moments
